A huge and humble thanks to all who took time to post a birthday well wish for me yesterday…lately I have been feeling like EVERY day is my birthday. Life is good right now and even better knowing I truly have so much love in my life…thanks again for the birthday love! Whether it was a phone call, a text, a Facebook comment, a LinkedIn note, or an in person wish, I sincerely appreciate it all.

This was a special birthday that I will always remember. Not only because I got?to celebrate with friends and family, but I also had many opportunities to give back. I started off the day??volunteering at?my kid’s?elementary school for the jog-a-thon on wellness day. It was an honor to participate in an activity ?that promotes healthy living for kids who have their whole lives ahead of them.

Then I received an opportunity to be on the alumni Panel at the SDSU School of Communication. I am always looking for excuses to get back on campus, this was just as good as any! I shared my insight on running my own business and how I incorporated many skills I learned from my SDSU days. This was yet another huge honor for me and to do this on my birthday, really made my time giving back even more special.

After a full?day of giving back, I enjoyed dinner with my team at my favorite sushi spot Boto Sushi. Dinner with my family is always a treat. Sometimes we are all busy and can’t always get to the dinner table together, but on my birthday we made it happen with a giant sushi boat that we all devoured.
