I LOVE Toastmasters…and that’s not just because I gave an “award winning” humorous speech for Toastmasters a few years ago.

In short, Toastmasters Clubs develop Public Speaking and Leadership Skills.

I’m getting more involved with Toastmasters this year and to kick off 2017, so I’m excited to announce one of Get a Klu’s favorite clients, Chef Works Inc., has agreed to partner with us to launch a new Toastmasters Club. You can read more about Toastmasters below or by visiting their website.

chefworks-logoThis blog becomes outdated on January 9th as we’ll be hosting our first “mock meeting” where you can learn more about Toastmasters, how a club works overall, how specific meetings are run, what you can get out of it and, of course, how you can contribute to the Club’s success!

toastmasters-logoWHEN: January 9th 2017 at 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Chef Works Corporation Headquarters is located at 12325 Kerran Street • Poway, CA 92064

WHY: First of all, Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Members of Toastmasters improve their speaking and leadership skills by regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere. The results are greater self-confidence, personal growth and deepened relationships with fellow club members.

Every meeting of a Toastmasters Club features several different forms of Public Speaking (impromptu and prepared speeches, oral evaluations, functionary reports and more!) and also provides several “leadership” opportunities due to the roles/functionaries that are required to run each meeting.

Secondly, Jeff Klubeck is an International Speaking Trainer and Coach who brings 20 years of experience teaching Public Speaking to the Club. His passion, experience and expertise when it comes to Public Speaking Coaching/Training is an incredible “value add” to the host of benefits Toastmasters offers its members.toastmasters on the big stage

Finally, GREAT networking with fellow friends/clients of Get A Klu as well as the SUPER Chef Works employees who take advantage of this wonderful benefit being provided for them.

Again, we will explain ALL of this to you when you attend the Information Session (“mock meeting”) on Monday January 9th at 11:30 am PST. Make sure to let me know if you can make it. Also feel free to share this event with your friends and colleauges.

If you can’t wait to get the Toastmasters info, feel free to contact Jeff Klubeck directly (jeff@getaklu.net or 619-405-3356) if you have any questions!

Vulnerable is as vulnerable does!  I am a big believer in a willingness to be vulnerable…and, a couple weeks ago, I announced that I would be featured on my friend Alexandra Harbushka’s podcast, Real World Woman:  Sex, Money, Food!. Talk about Vulnerable!  Alexandra is a Lifestyle expert and SO MANY becoming adjectives describe her that she’s a bit intimidating…I expected to be “honest and vulnerable” on her show, but I got a little more vulnerable than I anticipated.

My episode of the Real World Woman:  Sex, Money, Food Podcast is now live and you don’t want to miss this!

I had such a great time chatting with Alexandra!  We had many laughs, a-ha moments and unexpected insights.

Here are some teasers of what we discussed that I am hoping will get you to listen:

  • I was asked to rank Sex, Money and Food in order of importance…find out what I listed 1st, 2nd and 3rd!
  • Got Vulnerability?  Find out the story can’t tell without crying!
  • Want to know my theory of “Gaming and Walling” when it comes to adult dating?
  • I was asked “what it smells like to be a Father of 3 kids”…
  • How “love” is a brand and why it is HARD to raise your parents!
  • All that and MUCH more!!!!

If you want the full scoop, then be sure to listen to the full episode HERE. Let me know what you think and, above all, please continue to support Alexandra and her fantastic series:  Real World Woman:  Sex, Money and Food!

As you can imagine, I offered a couple of “gifts” for Alexandra’s listeners…and, expecting that you’ll download and listen to my episode, I am hoping you’ll listen all the way to the end to find out what I offered….AND, please take me/her up on the offer if you feel it will benefit you.

But, again, most importantly, please continue to support Alexandra and her fantastic series:  Real World Woman:  Sex, Money and Food!

I have authored several publications including my E-Book: The 5th Step to Fearless Public Speaking. Today I want to offer you a free copy of my book. I will teach you how to conquer your fear of public speaking in?3-28 Days! I just updated the page on my website that promotes this book, so figured it was the perfect opportunity to re-introduce it on my blog too.

fearless, 5th step, Get A Klu, Public Speaking, SpeakingHave you ever wished that you were fearless when it came to Public Speaking? Do you wish?you could just BE YOURSELF when speaking in public? How much further would you?be in your career or the growth of your business if you were NOT afraid of Public?Speaking?

The 5th Step is an E-book with Worksheet Templates that will replace fear with a speech preparation outline and instructions that build the Confidence to ?Be Yourself? when Speaking in Public!

Watch my video below for even more reasons on why you will find my E-Book valuable.

Now that you’ve seen the video, head over to my E-book page for the full details and easy instructions for getting my book straight to your inbox.

To share some personal inspiration, public speaking is one of the top ways for me to build trust and credibility that I know will ultimately lead to new clients. After my last public speaking engagement, nearly 10% of the audience hired me afterwards…and 100% who did both of my comp sessions ended up enrolling. ?Have YOU gotten two comp sessions from me yet? ?I digress…the point here is?that if you start speaking, you will have positive results over time too. If you decide to download my free E-book, please let me know your thoughts and thank you in advance for reading!

REBA Goal Setting Workshop Takeaways!

REBA Goal Setting Workshop Takeaways!

I was honored to be the?featured speaker for the REBA (Real Estate Brokers Association) in La Jolla last week. I hosted a SMAART Goal setting workshop?for a very attentive/interactive audience! ?Public Speaking always fires me up! I hear myself sharing new ideas, and I learn so much from the attendees as they ask questions and share stories. ?Below are some key takeaways from the REBA event?in case you missed it or would like a review.

1. Law of Recognition instead of Law of Attraction- The Law of Attraction came up as it often does with goal setting talk. This law is the idea that if we think about something, or believe in something, we will attract it into our life. ?Well, I believe more in The Law of Recognition…which I haven?t trademarked this yet, but I should. The law or recognition acknowledges that everything we need to get everything we want is already HERE…but we “see it” or “fail to see it” based on how clear we are about what we ACTUALLY want! ?The?psychological literature calls this “reticular activation“…but I call it The Law of Recognition! ?Meaning, the “S” in SMAART goal setting is for SPECIFIC because once we tell ourselves specifically what we want, then our brain goes to work RECOGNIZING everything that is a “match.” ?Regardless of recognition vs. attraction, goal-setting requires that you be SPECIFIC!

2. What gets measured, gets done-?I found myself saying this?during my talk when some of the REBA?members shared confusion?on how to tell if something was a goal or a resolution. Resolutions focus on the behavioral change required to achieve a goal (such as, I will completely remove ice cream and soda from my diet). A goal on the other hand, is more like: ?I will lose 20 pounds by April 1st. ?The goal can be measured…and, even thought the Resolution can be measured as well, the FOCUS is on the behavior…where as the goal focuses on the RESULT of the behavior.

3. We always behave consistent with our beliefs- Never have you behaved in a way that?s inconsistent with what you believe. Whether you’re aware of it or not, your actions will automatically?align with your beliefs.?This is why your beliefs are so important and ultimately determine your success or failure.

Get A Klu Henry Ford Quote4. Never set a goal that you don?t believe you can achieve-?Piggy backing off my previous point on behaving consistently with our beliefs,?your belief?is also the criteria for whether of not your?goal is achievable. Makes your goal very realistic in your own mind. None of the ?Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars? nonsense, because this idea?means you are creating a goal that’s so out of reach, that you don’t even believe you will get there. I prefer to go by the wise words of Henry Ford who once said “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you’re right”

Thank you again?REBA for having me! It was an honor to connect with so many successful real estate professionals. If you’re interested in hiring?me to speak at your next event, check out my speaking page, HERE.Jeff Klubeck Speaks at REBA La Jolla 3
